Layton Temple with Mom and LuAnn
We went for an endowment session to the Layton Temple (because Ogden is closed). Who should we see there as we were leaving? My cousin Jack Whittier and his wife Robyn. They have been home from their mission for about a month, and are beginning the process of building a home in Milton.

February at the Temple
I was able to visit the St. George temple on February 27th while in town for baseball games for Payson. I did an endowment session and sealing session. I do believe it's the most beautiful temple I've been in, and that is saying ALOT!. The endowment instruction room, so different from Ogden. Beautiful red rock murals on the walls, original pillars painted white, windows covered in beautiful blue velvet, seating that "looked" like pews, but had actual seats. One thing that was unique to me, was after the endowment presentation, we moved to another room to go through the veil. It was called the "veil room". The chandelier in the Celestial Room was absolutely amazing ! I've never seen anything like it in my life. All of the carpeting, and furniture in the entire temple, was "old school". Alot of dark woods, and beautiful white pillars, and fabrics accented in blues. The sealing rooms were on the 5th floor of the temple. There were about 15-20 rooms, and they were tiny, with a circular window in each room, and only enough room for 7-8 patrons and the sealer. Also, there was a sealing room just off the Celestial room, accessed by climbing a short set of stairs from each side. I've still be working at the Ogden Temple on Wednesdays in the Mid-day session from 10am to 2pm. Instead of our usual 4 week schedule, it was stretched into two weeks in March. The Ogden Temple will be closed the last two weeks in March.

January 2026 at the Temple
This month while serving in the Ogden temple on Wednesdays, I have been asked to "officiate"? during an endowment session. I'm the sister who sits up at the front, and helps if needed. It's a little nerve wracking, hoping all will go well. It takes a total of two hours during my four hour shift. I have enjoyed it. Today, a Tuesday, Mom and I and LuAnn met Erika at the Bountiful Temple for an endowment session. I forgot to get a good picture :( We went to Zupa's afterwards for lunch. It was an enjoyable day.

Back serving in the Temple - October and November 2025
I was glad to be back at the temple on October 1st. I was able to work for three weeks, then was off for our trip to Mexico (I had a substitute), then I got a cold when we came back, and had to get another substitute for that day. I traded with her, and worked her shift the next Tuesday (November 4th), and my own shift on November 5th. I've continued there throughout the month of November, and next week (the day before Thanksgiving), we only work until noon in the temple. Also, I will be subbing on Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) for the sister who filled in for me while I was on vacation.
I enjoy working in the temple. It is a peaceful special time there, and I love to feel the Spirit and enjoy the comradery with the other workers and patrons. I am blessed with this opportunity to serve.

Ogden Temple Service
The Ogden Temple will be closed for the month of September for cleaning. I started working there on April 9th (Wednesday), and here it is August 27th. That is 21 Wednesdays I've been there. 5 months ! It has been so enjoyable. I usually leave about 8:15am from Morgan, and usually get home about 2:45pm.
I've served in the dressing room, the new name booth, initiatory, celestial room, Chapel hallway, recommend desk, baptism clothing, and baptismal font, name check, and other misc. hallways, and the veil.
I've been able to memorize everything, but am grateful for the "cheat sheets" also. I really enjoy working at the veil, and in initiatory the most.
I love the sweet ladies I work with. I've made new friends, and there are "familiar faces" among the patrons who make Wednesdays their day to attend the temple.
I love serving in the Temple as an ordinance worker.

Syracuse Temple with Mom and LuAnn

9am session with Mom and LuAnn. Note to self: Don't enter the West doors........ they are for baptisms only. I went with an ornery attitude (are you surprised?) We were late (my fault, I didn't give us enough time, it take a good 45 minutes from Morgan) , then they turned us away at the West entrance, and we had to walk clear around the other side (No, we couldn't walk through !?!?!) then not much direction inside, "No, we don't want to hike up the huge staircase................ 87 and 88 years old.............. !?!?!? " My attitude improved by the time we were done.

I love working at the Ogden Temple
Today I did two initiatory sessions BEFORE my regular ordinance worker shift started at 9:30 am. I am trying to memorize the prayers in initiatory. My regular "line" for working there includes initiatory, veil, dressing room, south hallway on 3rd floor, and study. We keep this "line" for a month, then are switched to another type of rotation. I'm really really enjoying it.

Draper Temple sealings

Today Mom and I met Erika and Eli at the Tulip Festival at Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point. There aren't any tulips in this picture, but it is the beautiful area devoted to our Savior, with stunning sculptures to view.

After the tulip festival, Mom and I went to the Draper temple to do sealings. Our sealer was a previous General Authority, and he said some personal things that really made it special, such as: He and his wife had lost a baby along time ago, he also had portrayed Lucifer the the Salt Lake Temple Endowment session, and once messed up the words, and Boyd K. Packer was there, and got a "kick" out of it. It was a very special time.

Temple with Mom
Today Mom and I went to the Ogden temple for an endowment session. It's been quite awhile since Mom has been able to do an Endowment, because she hasn't wanted to leave Dad for that long. There had been many changes. It was a good day to be with Mom, and the temple took on a new meaning now that Dad has passed to the other side of the veil. Families are forever. I'm grateful for the sealing power of the temple.

Ordinance Worker in the Ogden Temple

Today I started serving in the Ogden Temple ! This has been a dream goal of mine for some time. I'm very blessed that it has happened, and Roger totally supports me, and I love and appreciate that support so very much. I will train for 4 weeks, and then I'm on my own ! You don't have to memorize any more, so that's a BIG plus :) I serve on the mid-day shift on Wednesdays 10-2 There are several women (and men) from Morgan who serve on this shift.

Two temples........kind of.

The Beautiful Desert Peak Temple in Tooele. I traveled here this morning, and when I got there, I noticed a text from Brendon. Manda was in the hospital again, her hip dislocated AGAIN !! They were going to perform surgery to re-do her 2nd hip replacement. I was totally distracted, but went inside for a quick initiatory session. My mind was swirling with worry and concern, and I wasn't really focused. The Desert Peak Temple initiatory is different, in that you stay in one booth the entire time, ordinance workers come to you for all blessings to be given. I really needed the peace that I received while I was there. After, I drove south to the Saratoga Springs temple, and while in the parking lot there, called Roger and conference called with Manda. It was decided that I would fly out to Arizona today ! I wasn't able to complete sealings while there, because there wasn't enough time. I did take a quick picture though, before heading home as quickly as possible, to pack and turn around and head to the airport. The Taylorsville Temple (which was planned for), will have to wait to another day !

Invitation accepted !

I was set apart today in the Ogden temple, to act as an ordinance worker. My Bishop issued this invitation, and I accepted. I've always wished to have this opportunity, and I'm very very grateful. I will be working on Wednesdays from 9 to 1 pm. I'm a little nervous, but looking forward to this special time I will spend in the temple

Two temples in ONE day
February 04, 2025
Trying to get to the Temple more often.
I went to the Ogden temple on January 24th for an Endowment session. It was the most spiritual time I've had in the temple for some time. I had prepared, and prayed, and I surely felt the Spirit.
I'm going again this Friday morning with Mom to do sealings.
Thatcher went with his friend last Friday to the Layton temple to do baptisms for the dead. That makes me so happy.
