Another Baptism Day

Another great afternoon with the grandkids.
Then the next day, Mom and I went back for an early morning Endowment session.  I'll be back at the Ogden temple on Wednesday, April 1st.  It's been closed for 2 weeks.

Layton Temple with Mom and LuAnn

We went for an endowment session to the Layton Temple (because Ogden is closed).  Who should we see there as we were leaving?  My cousin Jack Whittier and his wife Robyn.  They have been home from their mission for about a month, and are beginning the process of building a home in Milton.

A Special Day in the Temple with my grandchildren

Yesterday was a wonderful day, and an answer to my prayers.  It's hard to get schedules to align, but they did !  Mom and I were able to go to the temple, and witness our grandchildren be baptized for those who never had the privilege while on this earth.  Tagg was able to perform the baptisms.  This was the second time that Tagg had been to the temple that day.  He had gone with friends early in the morning before school also.  He probably goes at least 2-3 times a week.  Thatcher and Payson have been before, with friends and YM leaders.  This was Brightyn's first time !  She was a little nervous, but loved it.  She thought it was pretty neat that Tagg was able to do the baptisms :)  We are hoping to go again in a couple of weeks, to the Layton temple.

February at the Temple

I was able to visit the St. George temple on February 27th while in town for baseball games for Payson.  I did an endowment session and sealing session.  I do believe it's the most beautiful temple I've been in, and that is saying ALOT!.  The endowment instruction room, so different from Ogden.  Beautiful red rock murals on the walls, original pillars painted white, windows covered in beautiful blue velvet, seating that "looked" like pews, but had actual seats.   One thing that was unique to me, was after the endowment presentation, we moved to another room to go through the veil.  It was called the "veil room".  The chandelier in the Celestial Room was absolutely amazing !  I've never seen anything like it in my life.  All of the carpeting, and furniture in the entire temple, was "old school".  Alot of dark woods, and beautiful white pillars, and fabrics accented in blues.  The sealing rooms were on the 5th floor of the temple.  There were about 15-20 rooms, and they were tiny, with a circular window in each room, and only enough room for 7-8 patrons and the sealer.  Also, there was a sealing room just off the Celestial room, accessed by climbing a short set of stairs from each side.

I've still be working at the Ogden Temple on Wednesdays in the Mid-day session from 10am to 2pm.  Instead of our usual 4 week schedule, it was stretched into two weeks in March.  The Ogden Temple will be closed the last two weeks in March.
